Fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP), sometimes known as fibre-reinforced polymer or fibre, is a composite material comprised of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibres. Glass (in fibreglass), carbon (in carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer), aramid, or basalt are the most common fibres.In the case of wastewater treatment plants, replacing steel structural components with FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) equivalents is an effective and durable solution that prevents corrosion and premature wear.
