Frp Supporting Mast

FRP mast is another product of lightning safety system, manufactured by Electrogrip and marketed by Elapp Power Private Limited. This mast is made of Fibre Reinforced Plastic. Due to its non-conductive property, it prevents the surge current to flow from the lightning arrester to the GI mast and saves the building from electrical hazards. After fixing the GI mast, this FRP mast along with a lightning arrester is installed inside the GI mast. Whenever a clap of lightning strikes the lightning arrester, the surge current directly flows to the ground via the ground wire to the earthing system and ends up on the earth. Advantages: Due to some advantages, FRP is used in the lightning protection system, such as Non-conductive, i.e. does not allow current to flow through. Strong and durable.
