FRP, or Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic, is a composite material made of glass fibers and epoxy resin. It's strong and durable, light in weight, corrosion-resistant and can be used in a wide range of applications. The material is used in the construction of boats and tanks alike.There are four main types of fibers commonly used in the FRP industry; glass, carbon, natural and arimid. Each has their own advantages and applications.FRP is a fiberglass reinforced polyester resin plastic composite with a nominal thickness of 3/16”. It has 25 to 30% glass fiber content (by weight) in the form of multiple layers of chopped strand mat.
