Double Girder Gantry Crane

The Double Girder Gantry Crane is a large steel structure built to lift and move heavy loads in factories, shipyards plus on construction sites. It raises loads up to 50 feet high. A double girder - two main steel beams - gives the frame extra strength and steady balance. Eight wheels carry the crane along a track - the track runs 9.15 meters between the legs. A paint coating shields the metal but also resists rust - the crane works smoothly for many years. The whole frame is 60 feet long, 20 feet wide and stands 60 feet tall, covering a wide area so that one machine handles heavy items safely as well as efficiently.
