Vertical Freight Elevator

Freight elevators are designed to move goods and materials throughout a building. Compared to passenger elevators, freight cars travel at slower speeds, can carry much heavier loads and are designed to withstand tougher working conditions. An elevator is not always designed to carry passengers. There are elevators specifically designed to transport material goods and referred to as freight elevators. Lifting device consisting of a platform or cage that is raised and lowered mechanically in a vertical shaft in order to move people from one floor to another in a building.
