Seeds usually contain impurities like sand, stone, stems of plant, earth, sutli, leaf, grass etc. Sometimes they contain iron and metallic pieces also. These impurities should be removed in order to obtain high quality of the oil.pre-cleaning used to removing extra large impurities from grain/raw paddy, such as large stone, large soil clods, hemp rope, straw etc.; It is used in receiving section of raw paddy (before of feeding into paddy warehouse & storage silos)to protect the rear equipments.A seed cleaner uses a combination of winnowing with a fan to remove lighter particles (e.g. empty grains) and sifting with sieves on an oscillating screen to remove particles that are smaller (e.g. weed seeds) and larger particles (e.g. straw).
