Gravity Separator

Gravity separation is an industrial method of separating two components, either a suspension, or dry granular mixture where separating the components with gravity is sufficiently practical: i.e. the components of the mixture have different specific weight.Gravity separation process is used for the concentration of haematite. Gravity method is based on the difference between the densities of the ore particle and gangue. It is used for the concentration of denser ores from the water soluble and lighter impurities (gangue).
