Double Acting Directional Control Hand Lever Valve

A double acting directional control hand lever valve is a manual device that directs the flow of fluid (hydraulic or pneumatic) to operate a double-acting actuator, like a cylinder or motor, by pushing a lever into specific positions to extend or retract it. Typically a 5/2-way valve, it features five ports—one inlet, two cylinder outlets, and two tank/exhaust ports—and a spool that moves within the valve body to switch fluid paths, allowing fluid to enter one cylinder port while simultaneously exhausting from the other, and then reversing the flow for the return stroke.
