A heat press works just like it sounds. You take a blank shirt and place a transfer down onto the shirt. Close the heat press and it is “pressed” onto the shirt with heat and pressure, so that the ink, adhesive, or vinyl actually melts a little into the fabric of the shirt.Fusing Machines are used in the garment industry to fuse a material capable of being fused to a base fabric through the process of pressure, heat, and time. The fused material should have acceptable strength, the ability to stand continuous wash, or any fabric treatment.Fusing is a type of manufacturing process for joining or terminating electrical magnet wire, that is coated with a varnish (film) type insulation, to itself or some type of electrical terminal, without prior removal of the insulation. During the fusing process, the varnish film insulation is vaporized automatically.Fusing or otherwise known as interfacing gives support and stabilizes areas of a panel ready to be attached to a garment. Interfacing is also used for reinforcing and preventing fabric from stretching.
