Description

A HEPA filter media is a dense, pleated mat composed of randomly arranged fine fibers, typically made from fiberglass or polypropylene, designed to trap a high percentage of airborne particles, including dust, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, and even very small particles as small as 0.3 microns, achieving at least 99.97% filtration efficiency, making it a "High Efficiency Particulate Air" filter; essentially acting like a very fine mesh that captures particles as air passes through it, with the "HEPA" acronym standing for "High Efficiency Particulate Air.
