Arm Lighting Poles

Light Poles means a pole, arm or fixture used primarily for street, pedestrian, or security lighting or traffic signal control that is owned by City, and located within City's public rights-of-way and that is designated or approved by City as being suitable for attachment of Wireless Telecommunications Facilities.Light Pole means a pole used primarily for lighting streets, parking areas, parks or pedestrian paths.Lighting poles provide security and safety for those driving on the road or those walking nearby. As they are spaced out appropriately between each other, they can eliminate dark spots and alert people of other potential hazards like trees, shrubs, or extra larger buildingsA street light, light pole, lamp pole, lamppost, street lamp, light standard, or lamp standard is a raised source of light on the edge of a road or path. Similar lights may be found on a railway platform.The mast arm is used to place traffic and street signs above the roadway for maximum visibility throughout the City. A bracket is usually used to connect the signs to the mast arm. The type of Mast arm that can be also used as a street light arm is called Joint Use Mast Arm (JUMA).
