Hopper Weighing System

Hopper scales are mounted on load cells to determine the net weight and/or content. For example, they can establish the weight of bunkers, tanks, stirrer vessels, reactors, ball mills, mixers or dispersers.A Weigh Hopper is designed to weigh bulk cement powder. It is used in conjunction with an upright Cement Silo that doesn't have its own weighing system. The Weigh Hoppers can be fully automated, which enables the user to program how much cement powder is required on each dose or they can be manually configured.The process of weighing the product in the hopper and discharging the required weight is known as weigh batching and the hopper in which the product is weighed is called “weigh hopper” or “scale hopper.Metering hoppers are designed to supply material onto conveyors at various rates. Speeding up or slowing down feeder conveyors (or increasing or decreasing the size of the feed gate opening) will increase or decrease the rate of material flowing on the feeder conveyor.
