The plants also include features like a filler hopper, charging conveyor, wet dust scrubber, a semi-manual control panel and silos for hot storage.The drum is the main interface between water and vapor. In a coal-fired power plant, the boiler feedwater passes through the economizer, enters the drum, where the vapor is separated from the feedwater and transferred to the superheater.
