Asphalt drum mix, commonly known as the hot mix plant, is the greatest mixer of concrete, asphalt, coarse and fine aggregate and filler material to create a homogeneous mix at the necessary temperature. Hot mix plants are used mostly for road construction.The purpose of an HMA plant is to blend aggregate and asphalt cement together at an elevated temperature to produce a homogeneous asphalt paving mixture.which is mainly used for the construction of rural roads, low-grade highways and so on. Its drying drum has functions of drying and mixing.The asphalt drum mix plant is also called a continuous mixing plant. Unlike a batch mixing plant that produces hot mixes in batches, continuous mixing plants mix and produce material without stops.It is widely used for road construction. There is a fixed recipe to make hot mix asphalt. It is a combination of aggregates (of different sizes), bitumen and filler material. Aggregates can be single size or a blend of multiple sizes of aggregates.
