Galvanized Hot Rolled Coil

Galvanised steel is represented by cold- and hot-rolled coils with a zinc coating, which helps to protect the steel against atmospheric corrosion. Hot-dip galvanizing is a process of coating steel with a thin zinc layer, which serves as a barrier between the steel and the environment. The finish is applied by passing the steel through a molten bath of zinc at a high temperature. Hot Rolled Coils are made by continuous rolling of steel at high temperature, generally over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The process involves passing metal sheets, produced from billets, through rollers above the metal's (steel) recrystallization temperature.
