PACORR- Hot Wire Bottle Cutter ( Digital )

The Digital Hot Wire Bottle Cutter slices PET and plastic bottles into exact parts. The unit gives three heat settings - low, medium, high - so each resin type parts cleanly - it divides a bottle into four pieces - the neck, the shoulder, the cylinder and the base - each piece drops out for later checks. A front panel shows the wire temperature in degrees plus holds it within two degrees of the set point. The motor runs from a 220 V, 50 Hz, single phase outlet and pulls 3 A at full load. The clamp accepts any bottle from 28 mm to 120 mm diameter and locks it square to the wire. The frame but also guard are anodised aluminium - the wire is nichrome. Clean edges let labs weigh each section to the nearest 0.01 g and map wall thickness without further prep.
