Hydraulic Press Brake Machine

A press brake is a machine used for bending sheet metal and metal plate, most commonly sheet metal. It forms predetermined bends by clamping the workpiece.The basic working principle of the press brake is to move the ram using a power device. The upper and lower tooling can then bend the sheet metal into different profiles according to the preset bending angle. The main parts of the press brake include the workbench, ram, punch (the top die), and die (the bottom tool).A hydraulic press brake uses the power of a hydraulic motor to apply force onto the metal, compressing it into the die forming the shape. It is the shape of the die that determines the shape acquired with the metal bending process.There are two brake operation methods for hydraulic brakes: spring actuation (engage) and spring return (disengage): Spring Actuation/Engage—The spring engages during operation and requires power to disengage. Spring-actuated brakes are also called power-off brakes, fail-safe brakes, and safety brakes.
