Ice Flaking Machine

These machines press small ice (leaf or chip ice) into blocks of standard sizes and can be easily installed on small shore ice facilities. These compressed small ice blocks can be used on fishing boats, which give the advantages of traditional block ice.A flake ice machine works by freezing water inside a metal cylinder and allowing the frozen liquid to flow through the coils. The refrigerant freezes and the water then flows through the cylinder, where it builds up a column of ice. This is then expelled from the evaporator and into a reservoir.
