Vacuum Filter

A vacuum filter is a filter in which the liquid passes through more easily because of a vacuum on the liquid output side. The slurry filtered rapidly through paper on a vacuum filter to yield a cake of polysaccharide and an amber filtrate. Pressure or vacuum filters usually are used in industry in preference to gravity filters.
