UF Water Treatment Plants

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a water purification process in which water is forced through a semipermeable membrane. Suspended solids and high-molecular-weight solutes remain on one side of the membrane, the retentate side, while water and low-molecular-weight solutes filter through the membrane to the permeate side.Ultrafiltration (UF) is a pressure-driven barrier to suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, endotoxins and other pathogens to produce water with very high purity and low silt density. Ultrafiltration (UF) is a variety of membrane filtration in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semi permeable membrane.Its applications now include water treatment, food processing, biotechnology and chemicals processing. UF is used for removing macromolecules, colloids, colloidal silica, emulsified oil, endotoxins, pyrogens, viruses and bacteria.
