Press the button that goes with your beverage of choice. Most snack machines have letters and/or numbers that correspond to each snack. Look at the snack you want, and type the letters and numbers connected with that snack into the keypad on the front of the vending machine. If you consider the input of the letters, the vending machine is a function. Every time you input the letter F you should always get the same snack. Letter B would always give you the same output. There is a unique output for each unique input.
