Laser hallmarking was developed in the late 1990s and removes a tiny portion of metal from the article rather than displacing it. This allows us to mark hollow, thin or highly polished items without fear of bruising, scratching or distortion.Laser marking can mark a variety of materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, polymers, and rubber. It is often used to identify parts and products with 2D barcodes (data matrix codes or QR codes), alphanumerical serial numbers, VIN numbers, and logos.
