The BODOR High Speed Double Layer Nozzle 1.6 mm is a precision-engineered laser cutting nozzle made for Bodor fiber laser cutting machines. It features a 1.6 mm aperture (caliber) and a double-layer structure, designed to improve the stability and control of the assist gas (typically oxygen) during cutting, which helps create efficient, high-quality cuts especially when working with medium-thickness carbon steel and similar metals. The double-layer design directs the auxiliary gas more uniformly around the cut area, promoting steady removal of molten material and contributing to cleaner kerfs with less slag compared to single-layer nozzles. Constructed from high-conductivity copper, it offers good heat dissipation, robust thermal stability, and a long service life. The nozzle usually has a hexagonal D28 mm body with an M11 thread to fit Bodor heads and similar fiber laser cutting heads that accept that standard, making it a reliable consumable for industrial cutting workflows that prioritize cut quality and speed.
