Machine Room Less Elevator

Machine-Room-Less (MRL) Elevator means an elevator designed so that the driving machine for the unit is located in the hoistway rather than in a separate elevator machine room.The MRL lift reduces the spatial requirements for lift installation by installing the machinery in the lift shaft or on the landings. MRL lifts can be hydraulic, or traction and they look exactly the same as traditional lifts. They simply take up less space.The minimal electricity required to drive rope elevators is available with machine-room-less elevators which have their traction machines and controllers made compact and installed inside the hoistway to eliminate the need for a machine room.A machine room is an area where the elevator drive unit, controller, and main disconnect switches are located. Typically for residential elevators, a machine room will be located on the lowest landing as close as possible to the elevator hoistway.
