Metal Separator

METRO SF metal separators remove magnetic and non-magnetic metal particles (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc) from free-falling bulk materials. Metal contaminants (even those contained in granulate) are removed by means of a specially designed reject flap (“Quick Flap System”).In the two-phase units, gas is separated from the liquid with the gas and liquid being discharged separately. A horizontal, vertical, or spherical separator can be used. A level-control or dump valve allows the liquid (oil, emulsion) to exit the vessel at the bottom.The main function of a separator is to keep the two electrodes apart to prevent electrical short circuits while also allowing the transport of ionic charge carriers that are needed to close the circuit during the passage of current in an electrochemical cell.
