Description

This plant includes the following machinery: Washer (for thorough washing of tomatoes) Inspection Conveyor (for manual inspection and sorting of tomatoes) Elevator (to feed to the hot break system) Hot Break System (crushing and instant heating of crushed tomatoes to retain pectin)The mangoes are ripened by natural processes or ethylene gas. The damaged fruits are sorted out in the conveyor belt. The preparation process includes cutting, destoning, Pulping and refining, Preheating, decanting, evaporating, filling, packaging and labelling.Abhinav and Namdari are the most popular varieties of tomato processed in India. Rashmi, Vaishali, and Rupali are processed in small quantities. Southern varieties are mostly used for processing.
