Marshal Stability Test Apparatus

The Automatic Marshall Stability Test Machine is used to determine the maximum load and flow values of bituminous mixtures. Capacity is 50 kN. The machine comprises compact two column frame with adjustable upper cross beam. Platen speed is 50.8 mm/min.It is used for measurement of resistance to plastic flow of cylindrical specimens of bituminous paving mixture loaded on the lateral surface. The machine can provide measurement data for use with hot mixture containing asphalt or tar and aggregate up to 25.4mm maximum size.Following are the apparatus used for the Marshall stability test: Specimen mould Assembly comprising mould cylinders 10 cm diameter by 7.5 cm height, base plate and extension collars. They are designed to be interchanged with either end of cylindrical mould. Three mould cylinders are recommended.
