Mechanical Broom Sweeper

Mechanical sweepers are characterized by a rotating cylindrical broom, which flicks dirt and debris onto a conveyor moving it into a hopper for collection. Mechanical sweepers are the oldest type of sweepers, being invented in 1843.These vehicles are equipped with jets that spray the pavement with water to keep dust particles from flying around as spinning brushes scrub the dirt away. A cylindrical brush sweeps the collected debris onto a conveyor belt that leads into a storage container.
