The bed allows a maximum swing of 430 - 490 mm above it and 240 - 320 mm above the cross slide - the lathe accepts a broad range of medium duty jobs. A 2 HP electric motor drives the spindle through six speed steps that span 40 - 1200 RPM. The hollow spindle accepts bar stock up to 52 - 80 mm in diameter and the tailstock taper fits MT-4 tooling for accurate drilling or reaming work. The machine follows a horizontal layout and carries a semi automatic feed system. Longitudinal feed rates run from 0.08 - 1 mm per revolution - transverse feed rates range from 0.02 - 0.25 mm per revolution. A 280 mm wide pedestal bed supports the entire assembly plus the spindle center sits 215 - 250 mm above the bed. A 32 mm lead screw with 4 - 6 threads per inch moves the carriage smoothly during threading cycles. The tailstock sleeve extends 150 mm - long workpieces remain stable.
