A reverse gearbox is a mechanical component that is connected to the transmission (most commonly a torque converter) and rear axle of a go-kart. The input shaft of the reverse gearbox connects to the driven pulley of the torque converter, whereas the output shaft connects to the rear axle via a sprocket and a chain.The gears will spin one direction to power your car forward and the opposite direction when backing up.Bikes have compact wheelbases and thus tight turning circles. This means that when riding a motorbike you should be able to turn it easily and wouldn't necessarily need to reverse. This further reduces the need for a reverse gear to be present in bikes.Honda Gold Wing is priced at Rs 26.85 lakh (Ex-Delhi) and is the country's only bike that comes with a reverse gear. A total of 3 units of this motorcycle were delivered in Kochi. The Gold Wing made its first India debut at the 2018 Auto Exo and also features Apple Car Play integration.
