The elevator cabin is a compartment that accommodates and transports passengers or cargo or both and consists of three main parts. The framework that is called “yoke”. The only difference is that elevator is an American term, and lift is a British term for the same type of machinery. Both are used interchangeably and refer to the device that carries people and goods to different building levels.
