A toilet partition is the enclosure that surrounds most toilets in public bathrooms. It's function is to provide privacy for the person using the bathroom stall. They can come in many different types and configurations, not to mention materials.To start, WC is an abbreviation standing for 'water closet', a name used in the 1900's for a toilet, due to most being fitted in a spare closet or cupboard. Over time WC has been used instead of bathroom to describe a room with a toilet but no bath.The term "outhouse" is used in North American English for the structure over a toilet, usually a pit latrine ("long drop"). However, in British English "outhouse" means any outbuilding, such as a shed or barn.
