Description

The blown film process is used to produce a wide variety of products, ranging from simple monolayer films for bags to very complex multilayer structures used in food packaging. Multilayer film structures may be made by blown film coextrusion and combines two or more molten polymer layers.Multilayer coextrusion is a process in which two or more polymers are extruded and joined together in a feedblock or die to form a single structure with multiple layers.Blown film extrusion is the most common process for the production of continuous films that are used primarily for packaging. The first step in the process is to melt the plastic in the extruder, the molten polymer then enters an annular die head and is formed into a tube of plastic material.
