It's a liquid rust remover, cleaning and etching agent designed to clean rust, mill scale, light corrosion and grime from steel surfaces like reinforcement bars (rebars) before they are embedded in concrete or coated with protective systems like epoxy. �� Key Uses Removes rust from steel reinforcement bars before casting concrete. Prepares metal surfaces for coatings (e.g., epoxy) by cleaning off corrosion and contaminants. Can be used on tools, formwork, machinery etc., to clean rust and improve bonding/finish. �� Features Rapid action — works quickly on rust and contaminants. Safe on most materials (metals except zinc/galvanised steel, also safe with wood, glass, plastic, rubber). Non-corrosive — doesn't damage cleaned surfaces. Penetrates oil and grease for deeper cleaning. Has a coverage of about 2.0–2.5 m² per litre, depending on rust level. �� How It's Applied Apply with a brush to fully wet the rusted or contaminated steel. Let it react — usually 16–24 hours. A temporary white protective layer appears (lasting ~5–7 days). Wire-brush and clean before applying coatings or concrete. �� Safety Notes It's acid based, so handle with gloves and goggles. Avoid eye/skin contact and work in ventilated areas. Attacks zinc, aluminium, putty — test first if unsure. �� Packaging & Shelf Life Available in containers (commonly 1 L, 5 L and 20 L). Shelf life is typically around 12 months when stored sealed and under normal conditions.
