The so-called nitrogen generators used in tire inflation systems don't make nitrogen; they use a membrane process to remove most of the oxygen from the air, leaving you with an inflation medium that is 95 to 98 percent pure nitrogen.An inert gas does not fuse with any other gas at any temperature. This basic nature of nitrogen first of all helps in keeping minimum moisture in the tyres. The basic idea of Nitrogen gas is that it is cooler than compressed air and therefore is useful in any driving conditions.
