Checking weigher belts / check weighing belts are usually small conveyor belt that are either elasticated or fabric backed. They are fitted to machines that check the weight of packaged items as they pass over the scale. If the incorrect weight is detected the machine will alert the operative.Checkweighing means to compare a weight against limits to determine if the weight is within preset limits.Weighing scales can be divided into two primary types: spring scales and balances. Spring scales measure weight using Hooke's Law, which deforms in proportion to the weight placed on the load-receiving end. Balances are the oldest type of weighing device and measure weight using the principle of the lever.A checkweigher, or a scale with checkweighing functions, is a static or in-motion scale primarily used to ensure that the items being weighed are within a specific acceptable weight range. If the item is outside of that weight range (either under or over), it is usually taken out of the production line to be adjusted.
