Packaged Drinking Water Plant

Packaged drinking water is water from any source, which has been treated and disinfected, a process that could involve filtration, UV or ozone treatment or reverse osmosis (RO) and then packaged in bottles or pouches, either plastic or glass, for our consumption.Mineral water undergoes a natural procedure of coagulation and filtration alike. It is treated extensively with sulfate minerals, including aluminum sulfate. Packaged drinking water is filtered chemically and treated likewise and this is mostly done via chlorination.In the case of normal drinking water, the label should read “2.3. 3 of FSS (Packaging & Labelling) Regulations, 2011: “PACKAGED DRINKING WATER”. In case of mineral water, the label should read “2.3. 3 of FSSAI (Packaging & Labelling) Regulations, 2011: “NATURAL MINERAL WATER”.
