It is water derived from varied sources including surface, ground or sea and subjected to treatment like decantation, filtration (including aeration filtration with membrane filter, cartridge filter, activated carbon filtration), demineralisation, mineralisation and reverse osmosis.This can be attributed to the fact that it is bottled in its purest form, leaving little room for impurities and contaminants to be reintroduced during preparation. There is also the option to buy brands that are enhanced with flavoring agents. This offers a healthier option to sugary drinks.The water only goes through mechanical filtration and the composition of water is not changed and is packaged close to the source. Packaged drinking water is sealed water obtained from taps, ground water such as borewells etc. it can be de-mineralised or disinfected so that it is safe for drinking.
