Drive Through Pallet Racks

Drive-through pallet racking involves the forklift loading pallets on one side and unloading pallets on the opposite side. In this system, the truck uses rails to unload and load product after driving into the racks themselves. Drive In Racking is a series of tunnels with rails on either side at multiple levels to hold pallets. A drive in tunnel looks somewhat like a multi-level bakery cart, only a Drive In tunnel is multiple pallets in depth on any level. Drive-in racking creates a cost-effective, high density storage system that allows storage of pallets multiple positions deep, reducing the space required for aisles. Pallets are loaded onto horizontal rails. Drivers then remove the pallets from the same entry point at which they were loaded. Pallet racking is simply a storage system that stores pallets of material in rows on metal shelves. The systems feature multiple levels of shelving that are accessible by forklifts. These systems are used to increase storage density by using vertical space.
