An Automatic Elevator moves people up and down - it works by itself with sensors plus controls. People do not need to operate it. For safety, it has brakes for emergencies, sensors for too much weight, and sensors on the doors to stop accidents. The elevator helps people move easily, but also it makes buildings easy to use for everyone, including those who have trouble moving. Automatic elevators also save energy and have designs that fit with how a building looks.
