Building Lift

Lift is the average vertical distance b/w level of excavation and to the place of spreading or heaping. The unit of lift is 1.5 m for first lift and one extra lift for every 1.0 m. For example, when earth is to be lifted for 4 m, four lifts are to be paid to the contractor. i.e. – Upto 1.5 – 1 lift.An elevator or lift is a machine that vertically transports people or freight between levels. They are typically powered by electric motors that drive traction cables and counterweight systems such as a hoist, although some pump hydraulic fluid to raise a cylindrical piston like a jack.
