A passenger lift is a type of lift that is designed to take passengers up and down a vertical lift shaft. Cabin and shaft sizes can vary in a passenger lift, but they are usually completely enclosed. Typically, platform lifts are most suited for applications in low rise buildings where people are likely to use the stairs or buildings not easily accessible for the disabled.Hydraulic lifts work on the principle: to rise up, a pump pushes oil into the cylinder, pushing the piston up (which pushes up the lift car).
