Hydraulic Office Passenger Elevator

Hydraulic elevators are elevators which are powered by a piston that travels inside a cylinder. An electric motor pumps hydraulic oil into the cylinder to move the piston. The piston smoothly lifts the elevator cab. Electrical valves control the release of the oil for a gentle descent. Hydraulic cylinders and plungers are used for low-rise passenger elevators and for heavy duty freight elevators. The plunger pushes the platform from below by the action of pressurised oil in the cylinder. A high-speed electric pump develops the pressure needed to raise the elevator.
