Pharmaceutical metal detectors must be capable of detecting and rejecting tablets or capsules that contain contaminants comprising of ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel fragments. These contaminants may originate from wear and tear of equipment that are fabricated extensively from stainless steel and non-ferrous and ferrous metals.
