Open Standpipe Piezometer

The Open Standpipe Piezometer is used for measuring ground water level and it'svariation with time. The Open Standpipe consists of a PVC riser/stand pipe of 50mm OD, 3M in length with socket for jointing.The intake point consists of a PVC stand/riser pipe 1 m long perforated section,duly covered with brass mesh. The Ground water seeps in to this riser/Standpipe through the slotted section, and attains a level equal to ground water. Themeasurement is taken with the help of Electronic water level Indicator. Application The standpipe piezometers are very simple in construction and accurate in monitoring of pore water pressure and water table in a borehole. The measurement is taken with the help of electronic water level indicator.
