A pipe extrusion line consists of different parts. An extruder converts raw plastic material into a continuous tubular melt by extrusion through an annular die. The molten pipe then proceeds through a sizing or calibration bench (which adjust its dimensions) to a cooling tank.Pipe threading machines use a die head, which the pipe is placed through. The die head is a ring-shaped component which contains lots of teeth and attaches around the pipe. Once the die head is turned, the teeth cut the threads into the pipe.Pipes are first and foremost produced through an extrusion process. The raw material is feeded into the extruder via a hopper and a gravimetric or volumetric control system. Inside the extruder barrel the material is heated up to the melting point around 200°C by electricity and the friction in the screw system.
