Piston Air Compressor

A piston compressor is the oldest and most common type of industrial compressor. This type of air compressor uses principles of displacement to increase the pressure of the enclosed volume of gas or air. They are available in a range of configurations, from single-acting, double-acting, oil-lubricated or oil-free.An air compressor is a pneumatic device that converts power (using an electric motor, diesel or gasoline engine, etc.) into potential energy stored in air (i.e., compressed air). It is the moving component that is contained by a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings.
