ArcGlide Torch Height Controller

Using Hypertherm's proprietary techniques, the ArcGlide® torch height control (THC) continuously samples arc voltage and automatically adjusts arc voltage for proper torch height over the life of the consumables without requiring operator input.The torch height control uses arc voltage to maintain a consistent distance from the plate while the torch is cutting. This allows the system to maintain proper torch height regardless of variations in the material, or flatness of the cutting bed.It is used to adjust cutting torch height during Auto Mode. Height increases when it is turned clockwise. At the first commissioning, turn clockwise maximum to reach the highest height. On Auto Mode, the Sensitive increases when it is turned clockwise.The torch height control uses arc voltage to maintain a consistent distance from the plate while the torch is cutting. After the torch height control has completed initial height sensing and the torch has pierced the plate, motion of the cutting machine is enabled and the torch begins to move.
