Description

With extrusion moulding, hot melted plastic is pressed through a shaped hole to create a lengthy shaped plastic part. This customizable shape that the liquid plastic gets pressed through is called a die. Die casting is similar to injection molding, except it only uses metal. The metal is melted down, poured otherwise forced into steel molds, and allowed to cool before being removed from the machine.
