H-Frame Pneumatic Presses

H-frame presses are so named for their H-like shape. They consist of a steel frame, posts, a press cylinder, and, optionally, a movable middle bolster. Since they can have two or four posts, which can serve as a guide for a moving platen, they are also sometimes referred to as two-column or four-column presses.While pneumatic presses use air or gas, hydraulic presses use a liquid that moves under pressure. A piston pushes down inside an oil-filled chamber, and this puts pressure on a baseplate (or another piston) that gets pressed downward.Hydraulic presses are used in forging, molding, punching, clinching and other operations. They can create intricate shapes while being economical with materials. They also take up less space compared to mechanical presses.
